One of the biggest benefits to blogging can be the connections you make both online and offline…yet many bloggers don’t have any way for readers to contact them. While your blog readers may be fine with interacting with you through comments on your blog, some readers may wish to email you instead or connect with you on Twitter, Facebook., etc. In my three years of blogging, I have noticed that many readers will send me an email with feedback on my blog posts more often than they will leave a comment.
Another benefit to having a contact page is that it makes it easy to the media to contact you. Over the years, I’ve had several press mentions from online media, print newspapers and on the radio. If you want to use your blog to build your personal brand, you need to make it easy for people to get in touch with you when an opportunity comes up.
Problogger outlines a few more awesome benefits of having a contact page for your blog, so let’s all just agree that every blogger should have one.
Today’s assignment
Add a contact page to your blog or tweak the one you already have. Obviously, you should only post contact information that you’re comfortable with the whole world having access to. For most people, this is their email address and Twitter handle at the very least. Be sure to make it clear how readers can contact you by email or on any of the social networks where you have a presence.
I kept my contact page on this blog very simple, but you can do whatever you want with yours. Nothing wrong with being a little creative with your contact page like personal branding guru Dan Schawbel. If you want, you can even combine your about page with your contact page, like Danielle LaPorte does. Totally up to you.
Once you add or tweak your contact page, post the link in the comments section below!
Note: Please tag your posts with “31bnb” to make them easier to share with us.

I love the fact that this is simple, to the point and an easy way for people to get more information!

I liked your contact page. And maybe this is just me and my antisocial “I'd rather email you than call you” leanings BUT…I'd prefer some sort of click through link to email you. If I'm at work and looking really quickly for someone to bring in as a speaker, likely, I'm not going to call long distance to just start a quick convo. I want to be able to click and hit send. The way your email contact is set up, I have to go to my outlook (or gmail) and manually type in your address. Perhaps setting up an “email me here” that is a live link that takes you to your email address when it is clicked through? Or even, if listing out your email address as a direct click through as well?
Curious your reasoning (spam? privacy? or…?) why you spell out your email and don't have a direct link.

I have my twitter and Facebook at the bottom of each page too. I think I might want to do an RSS button too. Thinking that might make it easier for folks to sign up and follow.

you just totally made my day. I've been trying to figure out forever how to add up a nav bar on my blog. Your comment that pages are what are listed under the header (in a nav bar) just made my heart beat a little faster. So I tried it and just fell in love with Blogspot for half a second again. Thanks for the heads up Kim!
Just set up my contact page and Kim S – genius. I did not know Blogspot lined up pages under the header. You just totally made my day!

catching up on the past week. just did a simple page for now.
I haven't had any issues with Google Analytics…anyone else? One thing I have noticed is that it's best to check your stats after the day is over – they are more accurate that way.
I decided to just create a page its pretty straight forward.

I've had my contact info at the bottom of my about page and just tweaked it to have my twitter username there as well.
Twitter, LinkedIn & RSS buttons are available on every page on the sidebar, so I don't want to go overboard.
Ok, I did mine! Its not much because I have Twitter and Facebook widgets on the home page, so I only have my email address on the contact page.
I have my twitter, linkedin and email on every single page in the upper right hand corner, but perhaps this isn't enough.
So I created my contact page! Thanks! I hope this yields some results. Love to get your opinion on it! Too lo-fi?

Hello,
I just wanted to ask somethng re Google Analytics. Is it possible that it does not update your visitors properly? In 4 days I have had 4 visits, compared to over 250 for the 7 days preceding that? I realise it might just be that people are not reading what I post but I guess I am not ready to admit that. I have had a few RT's on twitter for some of the posts I've added this week and also a few likes on my blog itself, in total this comes to more than 4 hits. I hope I am not getting a bit obsessed with checking stats but 4 views in 4 days is not good enough.
Any tips or suggestions?

I had trouble trying to add a direct link to the FB fan page, so I'll have to go back to correct that.

Kinda corny, but here is the contact page!

I like the way that Blogspot sets up pages on the top of your blog, so now I have a contact page there too!

thanks
I have had a contact page since my blog's inception. I like for my readers to be able to contact me! Here's the link:

I am playing catch up. I replied to my comments today and I also created a basic contact page. I have also decided to keep it simple but I will go back and enter my facebook page info when I get that created. So much to do!
Go here: http://www.facebook.com/badges/
Click on “Page Badge,” then click on “Edit this Badge”
I clicked on horizontal layout, and then I clicked each box so it will show my name, status, picture and fans. After that, they'll give you a code to copy and paste onto your page. When you put it in, make sure your post is on the html tag, not the visual tag. Then you can click on to visual to see how it looks.
Everything thinking about it for a while, I decided to keep my contact page simple: twitter link, email and a form.

Yeah, I think I will change it. I'm going with a little theme so I might as well keep it consistent. Thanks for the feedback.
I like the fact that your facebook badge gives you a preview of what your fan page looks like. Can you share how you did that?
I have created an about me page. I didn't have one before, so this was kinda fun and a little difficult to try to figure out what to write! I have my Twitter feed on my Home page, but I've added my Twitter handle, along with my e-mail, on my “About Elle” page. As Elle is an alter ego to the real me, I'm not going to link to my Facebook page or my Linkedin profile. I may creat a fan page for Elle on Facebook, and if I do, I'll be sure to add it to the About Me page.

I like “The Shoppe Keeper” a lot more. It really fits with “New Arrivals,” “In Demand,” “Confections,” “Goodies,” and “Stock Room.”
I already had my twitter acount listed in my about page (also have the twitter feed and facebook badge in the footer of my home page). I signed up for an email account and added that along with my facebook fan page to the about page. I'm thinking about changing the name of my about page from “Management” to “The Shoppe Keeper”. Thoughts and suggestions on the name change as well as the contact info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've had buttons in my sidebar, but I've also updated my about page so my e-mail stands out better:
http://employedpanache.blogspot.com/p/creating-…
I include buttons for linkedin and twitter on my blog's sidebar. I previously had a line on the “about me” page linking to my twitter and linkedin pages (“Feel free to contact me at Twitter and Linkedin”). I tweaked it a bit and added my email thanks to your suggestion.
